Almonds are the source for one of beauty’s most soothing and nourishing ingredients, sweet almond oil. Produced from the almond tree’s fruit, almond oil has superb moisturising properties for skin, hair and nails and is protective and hydrating, thanks to its vitamin A, B and E content. The almond fruit itself is a multi-purpose beauty ingredient – we also use almond shell powder in our cosmetics for its natural, exfoliating action.  

For many Swedes, a glass of homemade blackcurrant cordial is an instant throwback to childhood summers in the sun. Packed with vitamin C and polyphenols, blackcurrants are full of skin-nourishing goodness and nutrients. In fact, the whole plant is a wonderfully versatile beauty ingredient, with the leaves, bark, fruit and seed oil all boasting valuable properties. Blackcurrant seed oil in particular, is rich in essential fatty acids that help to moisturise and condition skin and hair.  

Furcellaria lumbricalis is a red-coloured alga that grows on the rocks of shallow waters and is particularly common to the cold northern Scandinavian coast. Also known as Carrageen, Agar-agar or ‘Crab’s bed’, the hardy red seaweed is able to survive in low tides and sandy, dry conditions thanks to its superior rehydration capabilities. The red alga has hygroscopic properties, meaning it readily attracts water and holds onto moisture, making it an excellent ingredient to help revive, soften and revitalise skin.
