Mattifying & Cooling Face Lotion

Daily moisturising lotion that targets and prevents blemishes, blackheads and enlarged pores. Contains Salicylic Acid (BHA) and Gluconolactone (PHA) that reduce shine, purify and moisturise the skin. Soothing Complex helps calm the skin. Light, non-greasy texture with cooling sensation.

Salicylic Acid 
Salicylic Acid is a form of beta hydroxy acid (BHA) and a real powerhouse blemish-fighting ingredient, which is why we’ve included it in all of our Pure Skin products. It deeply cleanses and purifies the skin by removing dead skin cells and penetrating deeper into the pores to unclog them. This combined with its antimicrobial properties creates an effective action on existing blemishes but also helps prevent new blemishes from forming. 
Soothing Complex 
To make our products even kinder to the skin, we have added a Soothing Complex of Basil, Green Tea and Panthenol to our products that helps calm blemish prone skin. 
<ul><li>Panthenol – is very moisturising, soothing and helps soften the skin. It also aids in skin regeneration which makes it a powerful ingredient to help alleviate blemishes, red spots and stressed skin. </li><li>Basil – Antioxidant-rich with a calming effect on the skin. Vitamin C in Basil extract helps soothe stressed skin that occurs when blemishes are forming. </li><li>Green Tea – Rich in nutrients that help soothe blemishes, protect the skin barrier and make skin feel comfortable. </li></ul>
Gluconolactone 
Gluconolactone, a form of PHA is an acid similar to Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA), with the same great benefits as AHAs but gentler to the skin. It has antibacterial properties that help prevent blemishes. It effectively clears the skin’s surface of dead skin cells to reveal fresh new skin underneath, which helps reduce existing blemishes and fade blemish marks. PHA has also been shown to soothe congested skin, so you don’t have to worry about it being too harsh on your skin!

This multi-purpose exfoliating acid is an excellent choice for bright, smooth, firm and hydrated skin. An AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), Lactic Acid works by encouraging skin to shed dead cells and transfering new cells to the surface. It’s already found in the skin’s NMF (Natural Moisturising Factor) which is a whole range of substances vital for keeping skin supple and hydrated. As a larger molecule than Glycolic acid, Lactic acid is generally well tolerated by most skin types.

Salicylic acid is a renowned blemish fighter and regarded as an excellent ally for healthy-looking clear skin. It is a BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid), so exfoliates and smooths by clearing your skin of dead cells. Being oil soluble means Salicylic acid can reach inside the pore, cutting through the sebum (oil) and clear away pore clogging debris that can cause blemishes to develop.

The ‘next generation’ of exfoliating acids, what sets PHAs (Poly hydroxy acids) apart from other acids are their gentleness and ability to hydrate. As chemical exfoliators they weaken the bonds between skin cells, allowing dead cells on the skin surface to reveal brighter, smoother skin from below. The larger size of the PHA molecule (as compared to AHAs like Lactic or Glycolic Acid) means they penetrate skin at a slower rate, which translates to lower irritation potential.
